The year 2016 marks the 400th anniversary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes, the most famous Spanish novelist, poet, and playwright. The 44th Cervantino International Festival, one of the largest and most eclectic arts festivals in Latin America pays homage to the mythical Don Quixote with this year's theme ‘Cervantes 400: Madness to Idealism'.
Dance, opera, theatre, classical music, and rap are part of an infinite show of seamless performance. The festival showcases 3,000 Mexican and international artists with Spain as the guest of honour this year.
