Brice 3 – Immediate takeoff... for addresses that ride the wave!

For the theatrical release of the movie Brice 3 on October 19th, Travel by Air France unveils some of the secrets behind the making of the movie's climactic scene.

Brice 3 – Immediate takeoff... for addresses that ride the wave!

Air France and famous French actor Jean Dujardin got together for the shooting of the movie Brice 3. To shoot the most impressive scene of the movie, the airline provided a 777 Boeing airplane for Jean Dujardin to ride its wing in the best conditions. A massive crew made sure the shooting went smoothly, with one leitmotif in mind: safety.

5 scenes were shot, some of them on a stage where part of the plane's cockpit and cabin have meticulously been recreated to allow Jean Dujardin to exit through a window, which would have been impossible to do on a real plane.

Chez Pipo, everything for socca

When in Nice, if you say “socca”, people will answer you “Pipo's”!
Just a small reminder: the genuine socca is a recipe made of gramflour, chick peas and olive oil. You can eat warm with a little pepper and a glass of rosé wine.
If you want to pronounce it the way locals do, drop the “a” from “socca”, it is never uttered. And just so you know, the restaurant is always packed. If you wait for a table, enjoy dried tomatoes and olive toasts on the terrace and enjoy the atmosphere.

You will enjoy a creative cuisine with southern overtones, as prepared by chef Sébastien Mahuet. On the menu, you can find king prawn tempura with almonds and Carnaroli risotto with girolle mushrooms fricassee for instance.

Castel Plage, by the sea

Under the glass canopy, it is easy to recognize the restaurant small entrance door. A few steps down, Castle Beach awaits you, as one of the rare restaurants by the sea in Nice. You will find the menu bears very Provençal overtones. On the sea front, enjoy a roasted gilthead bream with olive oil, lemon juice and herbes de Provence, or an octopus fricassee à la Nissart. As for inland dishes, make your pick between beef tagliata with artichokes, parmesan and truffle oil, or honey-lacquered fillet of duck breast with rosemary and seasonal fruits.

Le Plongeoir, over the sea

Le Plongeoir boasts a very contemporary atmosphere. You can access it by a small staircase fixed to the face of the rock, or even better, by boat.
The menu directly takes its cue from Mediterranean cuisine. For instance, you enjoy slightly salted cod loin, vegetables stuffed with chorizo meat or even chickpea flour and lemon fried snack bites. You can end the night at the Vivier lounge bar for a last cocktail under the pergola.
