The chefs of Relais & Châteaux come together to defend gastronomy

As part of the Fête de la Gastronomie, nine Relais & Châteaux chefs will be educating children and adults about healthy eating.

This year, the Festival of Gastronomy will be held from 23 to 25 September all over France. Founded in 2011, this great festival celebrates French culinary heritage, making it accessible to all. For three days, individuals and professionals meet and exchange ideas at picnics, banquets, product tastings, food markets, cooking workshops, and visits to the altars of great French cuisine.

Among the many events organised is the Sunday morning Market Visit with Chefs. To show the diversity of French products and the wealth of the terroir, nine Relais & Châteaux chefs and their gardeners will be at the market at Place Lino Ventura in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. The programme includes introduction to lesser-known vegetables, butchering workshops, tasting events for children and adults, and classes on the preparation of simple and delicious recipes. Gardeners from the whole of France will be on hand to sell their produce.
